I got this idea from traceylovestoscrap, but it is my little take on her version. This is sort of the same way I go about making my paper roses as well. Enjoy!

Great Video, I tired making the paper flowers that you get wet and I ended up with a wade of crumpled paper, so I will try your technique when I get home tonight.

I love the idea on this flower. I don’t have the flower punches but I do have a cricut to cut with . I like this idea better because it is much easier. I can have the flower cut before I can get my paper on the mat and my cartridge in and set. Thank You so much for sharing. I just love it!

Thanks for the kind words! I got the container at Michael’s a few months back but I know that they still have them. The only problem is that the little “walls” in between each section is removable and they sometimes slip. I have found a better container, although it is a bit larger, at Walmart in the craft department. It has sides that don’t move on you, therefore, your brads and eyelets don’t get all mixed up! Hope that helps!

you can use bazzill, you just need to wet it a little more, and let the water soak through a little more each layer before scrunching. it is a longer process but it does work and gives a different look

Love it Denise! I was going to message you and ask how you made the flower for the cover of my book and I thought “Maybe I should check her vids first” Wa-la! Here it is and I’m going to make some for an atc swap I’m doing. Thanks for the shout out too! You have great video presence….keep them coming girl!

Hi! I edged it with some ink and then let it air dry. I do sometimes hit it with my heat gun but have gotten overzealous and burned the flower. Which sometimes looks good…. :)

  17. juliez1204 says:

for the white flower did you let it dry or did you heat it with your heat gun?? :)

Oh I am glad you got it! On this particular flower I think I just used regular paper. On others I use a lighter weight cardstock. Probably just cheapy stuff. Yes, Bazzill would be WAY to heavy. Glad you are enjoying the flowers!

@dmwadley74 No thats fine! I worked very hard and Igot it!!!
thank you for the tut your doing a great job!
One question what weight of paper are you using? Bazzill is too way too thick!
    I luv your flowers!!!!

Hey…so sorry. I know I went off camera a bit. I think you only have 4 petals because you didn’t fold it enough times. You have to fold it into a triange and then fold the triangle AGAIN. While holding the corner (the one with the most folds?) you make the cut. It doesn’t have to be perfect, but try to cut it into a teardrop shape. I hope this helps. Let me know. I could always make another quick vid if you need! :)

I have never made flowers before so Im stuck!!!
